The cinéma programme at the Institut français d'Ecosse screens a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:45pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Ôtez-moi d'un doute by Carine Tardieu.
Synopsis
Erwan is an unwavering Breton who works as a mine-clearing expert. He is suddenly overwhelmed when he learns his father is not his true father. In spite of all the tenderness he feels for the man who raised him, Erwan starts a discreet investigation and ends up finding his biological father: Joseph, a touching old man he becomes fond of. Along the way, Erwan meets the elusive Anna and tries to seduce her before realising she is his half-sister.
