About the event
For the 10th anniversary of Diaphonique, the Franco-British fund for contemporary music, pianist and composer Anne Lovett, whose crystalline and beautiful tonal clarity and absolute virtuosity make her one of the greatest artists of her generation, is joined by cellist Romain Malan, the “social musician” who has created the World Harmony Orchestra London and an inclusive choir that raises money for refugees. They will embrace a mixed repertoire, covering both classical and contemporary music. Highlights include pieces by Gabriel Fauré, a UK Premiere of Betsy Jolas and a composition from Anne Lovett’s album ‘The Eleventh Hour’. Created in 2010, the Diaphonique fund supports collaborative projects of classical contemporary music between France and the United Kingdom. It funds commissions, concerts, tours, residencies and educative projects.
