The Institut français d'Ecosse is happy to welcome the Gaelic Books Council into our building to host a special trilingual reception celebrating the first French translation of a Scottish Gaelic work of fiction.
Ath-Aithne (CLÀR, 2003) by Martin MacIntyre, was translated into French with support from Publishing Scotland and Un passe-temps pour l'été (Vent d'ailleurs, 2018). At the launch, Martin will be in conversation with Marion Sinclair, CEO of Publishing Scotland, and there will be readings in French, Gaelic, and English, which can be enjoyed alongside a glass of wine.
