RSA MCICH Network - Culture: Adding Value to External Relations

RSA MCICH Network - Culture: Adding Value to External Relations
An event to mark the forthcoming 2018 Year of European Cultural Heritage [Tickets]

The Royal Society of Arts, via its Media, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage Network, has created a late November day-conference in Edinburgh, with a multi-disciplinary approach to international and external relations and the importance of culture in the “mix”. You are most welcome to register and participate. The aim is to reflect on, and debate, the role and importance of Culture as “soft power”, given that next year is 2018 Year of European Cultural Heritage. The UK Co-ordinator will be speaking.

The speakers include His Excellency Dr Martin Eichtinger (Austria), Dr Eutimio Tiliacos (Vatican Foundation, Italy), Dana Linnet (USA), Dr Rupert Graf Strachwitz (Maecenata Foundation, Germany), Janet Archer (Scotland), Dr John Francis FRSE (Scotland), Professor Sir David Edward KCMG PC QC (Scotland), David Fajolles (EuropaNova, France), Consul General Mark Hanniffy (Ireland), Mark Muller Stuart QC (Beyond Borders, Scotland), and Graham Bell (NECT, England, Renaissance Foundation Hungary and Europa Nostra). Graham Bell is also the UK Co-ordinator, 2018 Year of European Cultural Heritage.

This event is being delivered with support from the RSA, the MCICH Network, the Italian Institute of Culture, the Institut Francais d'Ecosse and others, to whom “MCICH” extends grateful thanks. It is a full day event on Friday 24th November (0915-1600) at the Institut français d'Ecosse, which recently moved to Lothian Chambers, 59-63 George IV Bridge (and so is near Waverley Station for delegates coming from outwith the city). Registration is exclusively via EVENTBRITE and delegates’ attention is drawn to the condition of booking question at the foot of the registration page.
