La Passion d'Augustine
During the week of francophonie (17-25 march), the French Institute is proud to collaborate with the Délégation générale du Québec and the Canadian High Commission in London to invite you to a screening of the 2015 Quebec movie: La passion d'Augustine.
“Simone Beaulieu, a talented pianist better known as Mother Augustine, runs a convent school for girls, in 1960s rural Quebec. She has turned the school into a musical treasure where students have won every prestigious music competition in the region. When her talented but rebellious niece joins the convent and the government threatens to shut down the school in favour of public education, she and her fellow nuns will face a life-changing dilemma.”
The screening will be followed by a reception, attended by lead actress Lysandre Ménard.
