Our cinéma programme for Institut members is back in full force, screening a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Jalouse by David Foenkinos and Stéphane Foenkinos (2017, 1h37min).
Synopsis:
Nathalie Pêcheux, a divorced teacher, transforms almost overnight from loving mother to a woman mad with jealousy. If her first target is her ravishing 18-year-old daughter, Mathilde, a classical dancer, her field of action is quickly extended to her friends, colleagues, and her whole neighbourhood… Somewhere between a scathing comedy and a psychological thriller, lies this story about a woman who unexpectedly reaches her tipping point.
Starring Karin Viard, Dara Tombroff, and Anne Dorval
