The cinéma programme at the Institut français d'Ecosse screens a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:45pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Vent du Nord by Walid Mattar.
Synopsis:
North of France. The factory where Hervé is working will have to move. He is the only one worker to accept this fact, because he is chasing another destiny : to become a fisherman and pass on this passion to his son.
Tunis’s council estate. The factory is relocated. Foued thinks it’s a good opportunity to find a job, help his mother and seduce the woman he loves. Hervé and Foued trajectpries ressemble each other and enter into a life long rythm of call and response.
