Open Call ! The Night of Ideas - La Nuit des Idées

CALL FOR PAPERS – LA NUIT DES IDÉES 2020, NIGHT OF IDEAS 2020

Are you a researcher interested in sharing your specialist knowledge within an international network? Apply to be part of our annual Night of Ideas at the gorgeous Institut français d'Écosse, on Thursday 30 January 2020.

Deadline for applications: 2 January 2020

The Institut français, the Institute for the promotion of French language and culture around the world, is organising its annual “Nuit des Idées” (Night of Ideas) across its worldwide network on 30th January 2020.

The Institut français d'Écosse, based in Edinburgh, is looking for contributions by researchers (postgraduate, postdoctoral, lecturers, and professors) around the theme “Être vivant” (which can be translated either by “being alive” or “living being”).

Different formats are welcome: research papers, panels, interactive workshops… We are most importantly looking for contributions able to reach out to a wide audience. Historical perspective on these topics is very much welcome.

If you are interested, please send a short abstract (200 words max) and bio to solange.daufes diplomatie.gouv.fr by 2nd January 2020. We anticipate that most presentations will take place in the evening of 30th January, between 6pm and 9pm.
