Stéphanie Goud from Edinburgh Bookshop will be with us for a presentation of the movie “Edmond” by Alexis Michalik about the writing of Cyrano de Bergerac, with an emphasis on the movie. Edmond is a French comedy from 2019, an adaptation of Alexis Michalik’s eponym play and directed by himself. During the event, there will be parts of the movie screened and amateur comedians (our students and students of the University of Edinburgh French Theatre Society “Les Escogriffes”) who will be performing live some moments of the film.

Synopsis
We are in 1897. Edmond Rostand, a struggling playwright has to overcome his inspirational blockages to put Cyrano de Bergerac together and on stage in space of a few days!
