WE ARE REOPENING! Find out what we are doing to keep you safe

As the health and safety of all of you, our staff, teachers, members, students and public remains a priority, hand sanitizers are available throughout the building. A one-way system is also in place with an entrance via George IV Bridge only and an exit via West Parliament Square. Please follow the signs inside the building to make your way to the different spaces. Masks are compulsory to circulate inside the building.

Please find all the safety measures in place at the Institute to keep you safe:

LIBRARY

Our library reopens its doors on Tuesday 4 August 2020 with its regular opening hours:
- Tuesday - Friday 9:30am - 5pm
- Saturday 9:30am - 1:30pm
- Monday closed

The weekly Heure du Conte will not resume yet, but remains available online via our cultural blog every Tuesday morning at 10am.

THE BISTROT

The Bistrot also reopens on Tuesday 4 August 2020 and is looking forward to seeing you all back again! Book directly on their website.

CINEMA

Our cinema sessions are starting again from Wednesday 5 August 2020 at 2pm. Screenings are made every Wednesday at 2pm only and are FREE for members (non-members can access the screening for £5 - contact details will be asked). Please book your seats online or give us a call on 0131 285 6030 to reserve as only 30 seats are available!

LANGUAGE CENTRE

Our French classes continue ONLINE. Learn about our different offers on our Learn French webpage. Part of the classes will consist of videoconferences with your teacher and the rest of the class. We have chosen to use ZOOM (videoconferencing) and APOLEARN (eLearning solution platform) as our online platforms. Find out more about our online options here.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

At the moment, all cultural activities (except the cinema screenings) at the Institute remain on pause, but we are working on welcoming you back as soon as possible by making sure our events follow the social distancing and sanitary measures in place.

We invite you to keep following our social media platforms as we continue to promote French culture through our cultural blog: offering ideas of books to read, music to listen to, films to watch, recipes to try and more importantly by keeping you connected to the French community and culture.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us by email at frenchclassesife gmail.com if you have any questions.
