Our cinéma programme for Institut members is back in full force, screening a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Jusqu'à la garde by Xavier Legrand (2017, 1h33min).
Synopsis:
The Bessons divorce. To protect her son from a father that she accuses of violence, Miriam requests sole custody. However, the judge in charge of the case grants shared custody to the father. Held hostage by his parents’ feud, Julien will try to do anything to prevent the worst from happening… After his short film Just Before Losing Everything, Xavier Legrand has created this tense and chilling story, his first full-length feature film.
