Cinéma: Orpheline

Our cinéma programme for Institut members is back in full force, screening a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Orpheline by Arnaud Des Pallières (2016, 1h56min).

Synopsis:
Four moments in time in the lives of four different female characters: a little girl caught in a tragic game of hide and go seek; a teenager who never stops running from one place to another, from one man to another; a young woman who comes to Paris and has a brush with disaster; the accomplished woman who finally believed herself protected from her past. Little by little, these four figures form the portrait of a single heroine.

Starring Adèle Haenel, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Solène Rigot and Gemma Arterton
