Cinéma: Fatima + Post-Show Discussion

Our cinéma programme for Institut members is back in full force, screening a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is Fatima by Philippe Faucon (2015, 1h19min).

Synopsis:
Fatima lives alone with her two teenage daughters. She has difficulties mastering French and is frustrated by this in her daily interactions with them… This film garnered much attention at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes in 2015 and went on to win the Prix Louis Delluc, the 2016 Césars for best film and best adaptation, as well as bringing Zita Hanrot the César for most promising actress
