The cinema programme at the Institut français d'Ecosse screens a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:45pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d'Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is De chaque instant by Nicolas Philibert.
Synopsis:
How do young students deal with pain, illness, fear and death? Nicolas Philibert follows students during three years of nursing school, and in three chapters he reveals just how hard it is for them. Each of the parts—respectively focusing on theory, practice and performance reviews—is preceded by a sentence from a poem by Yves Bonnefoy.
